Thanks for sharing your experience. I had the surgery twice. Once when I was 8 and I thought it had been resolved, but apparently not. 50 years later, had surgery. I too had a rare one where he went in very deep and I'll tell you that the side of my head below my ear and above my ear, feels very bruised and I wear glasses.😏 Anyway, I'm one week out. I have one, my sister and her 2 sons, aunt, grandmother and a cousin with one of her kids so 3,4 generations have these esr pits some on left and some on right. Soon as I had my kids I was searching for the ear pits and so glad they don’t have them

I've moved my rugs, plants, and we have the movers take 20+ guns every PCS for 12 years. No issues! We drive two cars. Mine is full of plants and the animals. His is full of ammo and cleaning supplies. You can also claim the weight of what's in your cars as a partial PPM.

I have an outer and innie periauricular sinus on my right ear. I inherited from my mother who has it. What works for well for me with maintaining the odor is taking probiotics and chlorophyll, as well ass using miclens soap.

Mailing things home is a good way to reduce weight, but I'm not sure if I'd want to try it. I've tried mailing souvenirs home from Egypt and from Tanzania. Both times it was a smallish package, three or four t-shirts along with a couple of keychains and refrigerator magnets; both times I was very careful to be sure that the address was clear and accurate and that it had the right postage; and both times I never saw the package again.

I drain mine very often. I'm tired. Saving money to have a surgery like you. And I've never been under any blade (surgery). Also very afraid of complications cause I know mine's pretty deep. A full earrring could slot inside it....

There are so many 'tips' for preventing altitude sickness. Over the period of many years doing these I developed my own: 1. Do not ascend too quickly. Fly from sea level (like the city of Lima) to a medium altitude city (like Arequipa, 2,500m). After a few days, fly to a higher city (like Cusco 3,400m). 2. Before your flight to Cusco, saturate your blood with sugar (feed yourself carbohydrates) - your body will need access to quick energy to deal with the stress of altitude. I chew on my preferred candy (like Halls, or lemon flavored ones) 3. As you are getting off the plane, do not let your heart beat too fast too quickly. I would say stay below 125 bpm. If you let your heart beat faster, you will get a bad headache. 4. Stop frequently and take deep breaths. 5. Drink a lot more water than you usually drink - do not let yourself get dehydrated at any point. If you pee and your urine is too dark - drink a lot of water. 6. Do NOT drink alcohol the first two nights above 3,000m. Do not eat anything that takes long to digest (like heavy meats and fats). 7. Take it easy on the first day. Take a very easy walk around your hotel, sit down and breathe. Avoid raising your heart rate too much. 8. Drink Coca Tea (anesthetic) - helps to reduce the effects of altitude stress on your body. 9. Before your flight to Cusco you may take a few pharmacologically active options (a) Azetazolamide, (b) Sildenafil (Viagra)/Tadalafil (Cialis) 10. SLEEP

Interesting video, thank you. I've been doing the Inca Trails (not just the main one) since the 80's, once every year or two. By now, I have completed the main Inca Trail 21 times, the Salkantay Trail 11 times, and a few times the Lares Trail, Ausangate Trail, and the Hiram Bingham Trail. (1) headlamp or flashlight? doesn't matter. what matters is how powerful the light is (get a high lumen device, 1000 lumen+ at least). (2) sandals are a really bad choice for most of these trails, no matter when you hike them. You need protection from the elements, support, stability, and good grip. (3) Sunblock is a must. The Sun burns more intensely near the Equator. (4) Hat is good, especially during the rainy season (Dec-Apr) (5) I'm very particular about sleeping bags - one type for cold/dry season, another type for less cold/rainy season. (6) Trekking Poles are a must on most of the Inka Trails, especially on the way down. More reason to use them if your legs (quads) are not strong enough. (7) Baby wipes are very convenient. TP is a must. (8) You forgot to mention INSECT REPELLENT, some kind of first aid stuff (meds, disinfectant, etc) (9) Sunglasses are also a positive thing to have. Gloves if you do it in the cold season. I'm preparing for my next trip to Peru in exactly one week. I'll be starting the main Inca Trail on Jan 8th, then I will be hiking the Choquequirao Trail (first time).

The same thing started happening to me from having wear masks. I never had an issue my whole 34 years of life until masks. Then it kept getting infected. Looking into getting it removed.

I got one on my right ear but it bothers me it gets itchy and got infected last time I don't know what to do.
